I'm talking skincare, make up, hair products. My favourite finds I've taken from 2020 through to 2021...
1. Glossier - The Super Pack serums
I had never bothered to go out of my way to buy serum because it seemed like an extra to me. But since my mum bought me these for Christmas (who is a skincare queen) I had to give them a go. Firstly, they are beautiful to look at - you want to have these out on display! I also love using a little pipette, I feel like I'm back in chemistry class or something.
"You won't want to be without them"
The three serums are Super Bounce, Super Glow and Super Pure. If you haven't used serums before, definitely do some research and you will realise how much you need them. They are for using after cleansing but before moisturising. I use Super Glow in the morning and Super Bounce or Super Pure at night, depending on whether I'm breaking out or just whatever I feel like my skin is in the mood for. I really feel like these are making a difference, I'm having a lot of days without make up in lockdown and my boyfriend has said how good my skin looks, which is a huge compliment to me! After using these your skin feels SO silky smooth, you won't want to be without them anymore!
2. Vichy Normaderm Beautifying Anti-Blemish Care
Moisturiser. I would say this is my most important, 'can't live without' beauty product. I have been using this Vichy moisturiser for a couple of years now and it honestly works wonders for my oily skin that gets breakouts now and then. It feels like it soothes and calms the skin, and has a delicious, fresh, spa sort of smell that both wakes me up in the morning and sends me to sleep at night. I have tried other moisturisers but none seem to do my skin as much good as this one!
3. Elemis Superfood Facial Wash
"It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean and fresh"
Ahh Elemis. If you've ever been to a Champneys or a good spa, you will know this brand. I absolutely LOVE the Elemis Superfood range. It just smells like clean goodness in a bottle. I used the Superfood day cream (moisturiser) for a time but its quite expensive so I haven't purchased again, I also love the Vichy product mentioned above and its much more friendly on the price than the Superfood. However, the Superfood Facial Wash is what I love to cleanse my skin with. It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean and fresh, ready for that serum and moisturiser!
4. NARS Cosmetics Sheer Glow Foundation
I am always so reluctant to try a new foundation. I have stuck with mine for about 10 years and nothing else has ever matched up. However, after hearing so much about the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation I had to give it a go. This foundation is much lighter/thinner than my usual one, which I really like and I would recommend. It also gives that glowy, dewy kind of look which is lovely. However, because I have oily/combination skin, when we are back in the real world I'm not sure this one will stay put on my skin all day sadly, I need something that won't budge! But I do really love the silkiness of this foundation and I will be using it for summer days when I just want to throw something on my skin quickly.
5. MoroccanOil Treatment
On to hair care now and mentioned in a previous post of mine. I swear by MoroccanOil. It's quite expensive but a little goes a long way and it lasts for ages. I think it says don't use on wet hair, but I always scrunch a pea sized amount into my hair after a shower and it smells luscious. Hands down the best hair product I have ever used and will continue to use and recommend.
These are all tried and tested products that I have used and bought personally, I am not influenced to write anything - these are my true favourites! If this has helped you or you'd like any more info on the above, please drop me a message, I'd love to hear from you!
