Chocolate Orange Marble Cake

If you're bored of banana bread (let's face it who isn't), try this super simple alternative, that uses orange instead of banana and some chocolate orange if you've got some leftover from Christmas like me.

Serves 10

Ingredients:

230g butter/margarine

230g caster sugar

4 large eggs

230g self raising flour

2 tbsp milk

3 tbsp cocoa powder

1 orange (zest and juice)

Terry's Chocolate Orange (for decoration)

Method:

  1. Heat oven to fan 160

  2. Whisk the butter, sugar, eggs and flour together

  3. Divide the mixture into two bowls, and whisk the milk and cocoa powder into one bowl, and the orange juice and zest into the other bowl

  4. Alternate putting a spoon of each mixture into the tin, then drag a skewer through the mix to create some swirls

  5. Break up some chocolate orange and decorate the top - most of these will sink through the cake for a yummy surprise

  6. Bake for 45-55 mins and enjoy!
